Answer: Principle of clarity: The message must be as clear as possible. It should be planned and expressed in a logical way, so that there is no scope of ambiguity. the objective may be to obtain information, give information, initiate action, and change another person's attitude and so on.

B. Answer the following questions. (long questions)
1. Differentiate between the principle of conciseness and principle of courtesy.
Answer: 
1. Principle of conciseness:  Conciseness refers to thoughts expressed in the fewest words consistent with writing. It means saying all that needs to be said and no more. The aimless verbiage, unnecessary details and heavy paragraphs make our communication ridiculous and ineffective.
2. Principle of courtesy: Showing courtesy towards the receiver by being, sincere, appreciative, give timely feedback, avoiding rude expressions, no use of slang and jargons, ask for apology if need be, giving the receiver the due respect so that he believes in what you say.

2. Do you think being courteous to your customers helps in a workplace? How, explain with an example?
Answer: Yes, being courteous to customers is highly beneficial in the workplace. It fosters positive customer experiences, builds trust and loyalty, and ultimately contributes to a more successful business environment. 
For example, a customer service representative who listens patiently to a frustrated customer, apologizes for any inconvenience, and provides a helpful solution is more likely to retain that customer and even receive positive feedback.
