Answer: Yes, a lack of trust is indeed a significant communication barrier. When individuals don't trust each other, they are less likely to communicate openly, leading to misunderstandings and strained relationships. Trust is foundational for effective communication.

Answer: Three ways to overcome barriers in communication:
1. Clarify the ideas before communication: Any message to be shared should be clear and analysed. Additionally, it should be stated in such a manner that one can easily understand it in the same sense in which it is intended.
2. Communication according to the need of receiver: The level of understanding and education of the receiver s must be very clear to the sender of the message and should try to communicate according to their level.
3. Check out language, tone and content of the message: The language, tone and content of a message to be communicated are very important aspects of an effective communication. The language should be clear, lucid and easily understandable.

2. List the causes of communication barriers.
Answer: Causes of communication barriers:
1. Noise: Interference that occurs in a signal and prevents you from hearing sounds properly.
2. Lack of planning: Communication cannot be taken lightly. The message if not communicated with a plan, the desired result will not be obtained.
3. Cultural issues: The difficulty in understanding the meaning or that involves different inferences of the same text which may result to an incorrect message being understood by the receiver.
4. Semantic problems: Semantics is the systematic study of meaning. The problems arising from transmission of meaning in communication are called semantic problems.

Answer: To prevent obstacles in communication, it's crucial to ensure clear, concise messages, understand the receiver's perspective, and use appropriate communication channels.
