Answer:
Verbal Communication: When we communicate by using words, it is called verbal communication, it can further be divided into two parts:
1. Oral communication
2. Written communication
Non-verbal Communication: When communication occurs without using words, it is known as non-verbal communication.
Types of non-verbal communication:
1. Visual 2. Auditory 3. Body language
2. What is oral communication and describe its advantages and disadvantages?
Answer: When we communicate orally by using words, this is called oral communication.
Advantages of oral communication:
1. Personal touch
2. Time saver
3. More flexible
4. Boots the moral
5. Immediate feedback

7. Cost saving
Disadvantages of oral communication:
1. Not suitable for long messages
2. Ambiguous

3. Define written communication and its importance in business.
Answer:
Written Communication: Written communication is that communication in which information, idea, opinion exchanged in the written form.
Importance of written communication:
1. Permanent record
2. Legal document
3. Accurate
4. Lengthy messages
5. Easy to preserve
4. What are the disadvantages of written communication?
Answer:
Disadvantages of written communication:
1. Time consuming
2. Slow
3. More formal
4. Expensive
5. Planning

5. Explain visual and auditory.
Answer:
Visual Methods: When we communicate through visuals like by using a chart, picture, graph and colours, it is called visual communication. Even colours talk to you without using words. While driving, the red signal indicate to stop the vehicle. You get the idea by just looking at the red color that you will have to stop the vehicle.
Auditory Methods: Which can be heard are auditory methods. Without using the words, auditory methods also perform the same function as it is performed by words.
6. Describe Body Language.
Answer: Body Language: It plays a vital role in oral communication. When we communicate by using body movement this is called non-verbal communication.
Body language can be divided into following types:
1. Kinesics(Facial expressions, Gestures, Postures and Handshakes)
2. Oculesics
3. Touch
4. Space
5. Appearance
6. Time
7. Explain kinesics.
Answer: Kinesics:
The study of the way in which certain body movements and gestures serve as a form of non-verbal communication. It may include:
1. Facial expressions: You face reflects your mood, if you smile to someone, it means you are in good mood.
2. Gestures: There are non-verbal cues that have a verbal counterpart.
3. Postures: The movement of the body also shows your personality. The way a person walks, sits, or stand shows what kind of a person he is.
4. Handshakes: There are many ways to greet people like salute but handshake is very common in India. The palm of the hand indicates how you really are deep inside.
5. Arms: Position of arms also shows your personality and attitude.
8. What do you understand by Oculesics and tactilics?
Answer: Oculesics: This is a branch which deals with the movement of our eyes. Eye contact indicates interest, openness and sometimes even aggression.
Tactilics: We communicate much through touch. When a teacher or parent pats on the shoulder of a student or their kids.
9. What is the role of time in communication?
Answer: Role of Time: The study of the role of time in communication is known as chronemics. This is a way people organise and use time. It can be divided into two types:
1. Monochromic- In which, people do one task at one time.
2. Polychromic- In which, people do several tasks at one time.
