Laptop (notebook) - It is type of computer which is portable. Laptop is also known as notebook. Laptop has LCD or LED screen. Basically it is design for portability. Laptop has a toucpad-it is used to give input to laptop. Laptop, like desktop computer has USB port for connecting pen drive, keyboard and mouse. We can also connect wireless mouse and keyboard with laptop.
Mainframe (big iron) computer - A centralized computer used for giant scale computing. It is a large size computer, it can store large amount of data. It is used in large organizations. It is design for large input and output.
Microcomputer - Generally referred to as a PC. Uses a single integrated semiconductor chip microprocessor. These are small in size. These computers include RAM and ROM, and input/ output devices.
Minicomputer - An antiquated term for a computer that's smaller than a mainframe and bigger than a microcomputer.
Notebook - A smaller and fewer powerful version of a laptop.
Personal computer (PC) - A computer designed to be employed by one person at a time.
Supercomputer - A high performing computer that operates at extremely high speeds.It is a 5th generation computer.
Tablet computer (tablet PC) - A wireless pc with slightly screen.
Workstation - Equipment designed for one user to finish a specialized technical/scientific task.
